One-Day 'Introduction to Mindfulness' Workshops

Green leavesOur one-day workshops introduce participants to the key principles of living mindfully, offering some core practices to help cultivate mindfulness in daily life. As well as an experiential introduction to some of the main practices taught on the eight-week MBSR course, we explore where mindfulness comes from and how it might be helpful, as well as some of the latest scientific evidence for its effectiveness. Participants are also pointed to ways they can begin to develop their own practice. These workshops offer an opportunity for those curious about mindfulness or considering an eight-week MBSR course to find out more.

The workshops are led by Ed Halliwell and will run from 10am-5pm. Coffee and tea will be available on arrival and a light vegetarian 'brown-bag' lunch supplied by The Sussex Produce Company will be provided. Pre-registration is essential for all our workshops.

We are currently taking bookings for the following one-day 'Introduction to Mindfulness' workshops which will be held at The Old School, Cuckfield, nr Haywards Heath, West Sussex and cost £75.

Please go to FAQs to find out more about mindfulness training, or contact us if you have questions about whether the workshop will be suitable for you. Or reserve your place using online payment.

Testimonials

Very positive, calm and informative. I learnt a lot not just from the mindfulness practice but also in running the workshop. Ed managed to create an environment which was safe and accepting and the ‘invitation’ to participate was very nurturing.

Rich in both material and experience. Well balanced and paced.

Supportive, encouraging, enlightening.

I was hugely impressed with this workshop

Ed is a natural teacher - not only is his delivery clear and concise but he is a patient listener with a talent for encouraging participation in a non-judgmental way.

Enjoyable, educational and brilliant!

Excellent. Inclusive and practical.

Very surprised at how good it was from start to finish.

Ed was an excellent teacher. He focused directly on individual questions yet gave the answer back to the group. I felt that I was very much part of a unique workshop that grew organically thoughout the day to suit everyone in the group but at the same time the group as a whole.
